Triple Z.

Hey everybody! How's your day going? Weird name for a post, I know. I didn't know what exactly to name it, so triple z is good.Today, I'm going to talk about an ongoing, long struggle I've had with sleep. Let me firstly give you a backstory on everything.. About 3, almost 4 years ago, I had a bad period and it was a shitty time, I admit. It made me learn a lot, and grow a lot, learn how to deal with the confusing thing called life. 

That, along with me overthink overthinking overthinking overthinking lead to a little thing called consequences. One of them is my sleeping schedule got really fucked up, I mean i was like 12-13, and staying up all night, thinking about the universe and wondering where the fuck life will take me.. And that kept going on. Days, weeks, months, and now even years have passed. Of course, I had some good night sleep, but that would be rare af, and I would after that end up pulling an all nighter. It's just a cycle of unhealthy sleeping time, and that lead to stress, me being in a terrible mood when tired, tiredness, soreness.. all sorts of uncomfortable consequences. 



Now, fast forward to the end of 2017, start of 2018.. I started getting normal sleep, like I'm talking 11pm to 7-8am, depending if I was on a morning or afternoon shift. I felt so fucking energized, healthier, happier. And then another shift, plus me going out. And of course, no sleep for this bitch. Sleep is for the weak, isn't it? So that happens, and my thoughts, they get even darker than before.. Fucked up how sleep morphs a lot of your mood. And back to today.. Well, last post, I said I was going to try to get into a healthy sleeping schedule, but first, I want to get my opinion out on everything about not sleeping healthily that people mostly ask and are interested in.



People usually don't believe. They go like oh well if you're that tired or if you haven't  slept, why isn't it noticeable? Where are your under eye circles? And to that, my answer is that even if i have probably slept for maximum of 5 hours today, it is my choice not to be a bitch and not to act like a bitch to people who have no fucking doing in me not sleeping. I don't know how the fuck is it not noticeable, it's not like I didn't try to hide it.. And my under eye circles? Well maybe I never get them or someone smarter than me invented concealer, which does a good job of covering them.



Another thing people think is that we do it just to be cool or relatable or whatever the fuck to be better in other people's eyes. Which to that, I can say, do people really think I would sacrifice my fucking health for some people I probably won't even remember in 5 years? The answer is no, I don't do it to be fucking cool, and in no way do i do it on purpose.



Another thing i get asked is who I think about at night. And while yes, the night gets your mind and soul naked and shows you who's been on the brain while you were trying to cover it up through the day, my restless nights go much further in overthinking.. And yes, who doesn't love to love, who doesn't love to be loved, who hasn't felt the pain of love, even though some nights it's all I can think about , but not all nights are like that. Some nights, i think about the Universe, I think about the past, the future, the present, the everything, just how small and insignificant we all are, while still being a part of something so great and divine. It's like.. If you, reading this, vanished just now, it would make a significant change in someone else's life. That aside, that's a whole post of it's own.. There's more I'd like to address.



The biggest question is, do i plan on changing this awful habit? If i do, how the hell am I going to do that? I think the most logical way is to tire myself and then go to sleep in a normal, healthy time.. How am I going to do that? Put myself in burnout mode. I'll sleep less. If i slept like normal (7am to 4pm), I wouldn't be tired at like let's say, for a start, 1am.. but If i go to sleep at like 3am and get up at 8am, i will be tired the night after. I am trying that right now, and I'll keep anyone interested posted on how it's going. Till then, get your beauty sleep, and stay gorgeous. Bye. I promise to make a follow up post on this one x).

  2. Sinoć sam ostala budna do pola 4 i probudila se u pola 8. U prošlu nedelju se probudila u 11 prepodne, i ostala budna sve do pola 3 u utorak. Noć pred završni ispit sam bila sve vreme budna, samo ustala iz kreveta, otišla i uradila. Vrlo dobro razumem te probleme sa nesanicom i ako su većinom izazvane mojom pasivnošću tokom dana i internetom, mnogo puta nisam mogla da zaspim jer me je bolela glava, nešto me je mučilo, pravilo mi problem... I tako od oktobra 2017. do dan - danas. Nesanica je stvarno fakt ap stvar i može imati jako loše posledice. Imala sam tu sreću da sam te tog jutra nakon neprospavane noći imala završni iz srpskog, pa uradila sve tačno i to za jako kratko vreme, ali da je bila matematika, verujem da ne bih prešla 7/20 zadataka.
    U suštini, stvarno počinje da mi smeta taj bioritam, pogotovo jer se približavaju more i škola, tako da ti puno zahvaljujem na ovom divnom postu. ❤❤️

  3. Odličan post draga i ja često baš imam problem sa spavanjem. U poslednje vreme baš kasno ležem i kasno ustajem što mi uopšte ne prija tako da te u potpunosti razumem! :)

  4. Inace sam osoba koja spava u sasvim normalno vrijeme.Legnem najkasnije do 12 i spavam do 7.30/8 ujutru.Ne pronalazim se u ovom postu,ali je super sto si podijelila svoje iskustvo i mislim da ce mnogima pomoci.:)

  5. I think stress and worry can have a lot to do with lack of sleep. I think it is important, before you go to bed to do something you enjoy like watching a great show or listening to music before bed. This way you feel more relaxed and you can fall asleep with ease. Also, making sure you go to bed at a reasonable time if you happen to get up early the next day. Loved this post.   6. I hope you finally can sleep more, that's terrible. I'm afraid of being alone in the dark and when my boyfriend is not at home at night I just can't sleep.. I remember when he was out for a week, I tried to sleep but even when the lights on, I couldn't. And when I was a kid (also at the age of around 12) I was thinking all the time about what's after life, about what happens when we die and all that stuff.. So it was hard to sleep there too. But when I was in Finland last summer I slept all nights alone.. because there the Sun shines til late at night ^^
    I don't know if this may help you but have you tried to do a lot of sports in the evening? Like 3 hours before bed time, I've tried a few times and I got surprised that I was so tired that my eyes were automatically closing.. I hope it helps!

      About the sports thing.. I am trying that right now, and sometimes it has the good effect and I just sleep but sometimes it has the reverse effect, i just feel even more energized, I guess it depends. Anyway, thanks for the tip, I'll be trying to incorporate it more xx

  7. I've been there with the lack of sleep situation many times. I actually was under stress, and my mind would be all over the place, anxiety really. I found that writing, reading a book, or listening to ocean/rain sounds helped. I also made it a point to get off electronic devices an hour before bed, which made a difference. Exercise helped tremendously as well! Hope you get the sleep you need so you can feel energized once again. Thanks for visiting my blog recently!

  9. Ja sam neko ko je ovog ljeta definitivno poremetio svoje vrijeme za spavanje i ustajanje, i bukvalno liježim u 5 ujutru i ustajem oko 2 - 3 poslije podne. Svi živi me kritikuju ali ja jednostavno ne mogu spavati, iz milion razloga. Ili me nešto muči, ili gledam seriju, ili tračam sa drugaricom. Znam da nije normalno, ali isto tako znam da nisam jedina koja vodi takav život. Ali iskreno, uživam kada prespavam pola dana i onda ostalu polovinu zaista iskoristim kako treba. Dok traje škola takođe ne liježem u normalno vrijeme, već opet moram ostati malo duže budna jer vjerovatno učim i radim domaći... Eh, Bože ... Ubiće me to nespavanje i ta nesanica, jbg. Blago ljudima koji nisu zamijenili dan i noć..

  15. I sama sam imala dosta zeznut raspored spavanja, probdijem cijelu noć pa zaspem napokon u 5 ujutro i onda cijelo jutro prespavam. Užas. Nemam pojma kako da riješim taj problem, godinama već muku mučim. Čak i dok traje škola, ponekad spavam samo 3 sata i jedva proguram kroz 7 sati. Nadam se da ćemo obe potpuno izbaciti loše navike :)

  23. Ja mislim da je potrebno da pronađeš unutarnji mir prije svega. Da se pomiriš s tim da nemaš nikakve mogućnosti uticaja na prošlost i s tim da te čeka jako lijepa budućnost ako si spremna vjerovati u to. Sve je u rukama Najvećeg tako da trebaš da se ostaviš razmišljanja o dalekoj budućnosti. Znam da je teško, i ja sam evo baš sinoć ostala kasno budna jer sam razmišljala u smislu ''šta će biti sa mnom? hoću li uspjeti ostvariti sve što želim? i kadaa? kada će doći sve na svoje mjesto?!'' ali nakon nekog vremena sam shvatila da bi trebala da ostavim te misli jer na meni je da radim sve da dobijem ono što želim a sada da li ću to dobiti, kao što već rekoh, to je u Njegovim rukama. Opusti se i uživaj u svakom danu maksimalno, ali ga i iskoristi maksimalno da si zadovoljna sobom kad legneš navečer u krevet. Vjerujem da ćeš time ubrzo stvoriti zdrav raspored i naviku spavanja! Sretno <3!

Ne pronalazim se ovde jer sam osoba koja nema problema sa spavanjem, ali mi je drago da si podelila ovo sa svima nama jer sam sigurna da će ti neki od komentara koje si dobila pomoći, a i sigurna sam da ti je lakše kada si sve ovo iznela. Moj savet je da probaš da ustaješ rano ujutru, da odeš da prošetaš ili istrčiš par krugov odnosno da budeš produktivna i da zadržoiš tvoj mozak okupiran nekim drugim mislima kada planiraš da spavaš. Uveče pročitaj neku knjigu ili gledaj neku seriju koja te opušta i barem pokušaj da legneš i da ne dozvoliš svojim mislima da lutaju već se samo skoncentriši na tišinu, na nešto lepo. Možda ti pomogne. Nadam se da ćeš uspeti da se rešiš ovog problema. Srećno! :)

  26. Ne znam trebam li komentirati na hrvatskom ili engleskom? Ali valjda je vec kasno. Iskreno, drago mi je da sam nasla tvoj blog. Toliko iskrenosti i otvorenosti u stvarno jednoj losoj fazi zivota me je odusevilo. Mozda sto sama tesko priznajem da sam imala takve izgubljene trenutke. Iskreno nadam se da se više nećeš tako osjećati iako moram priznati da su to one 'Ahaaa' faze kada ti se oči otvore i shvatiš određene stvari tako da si nekako i zahvalan na tim lošim trenutcima.

Hvala ti puno, jako mi znaci, jer iako instinktivno radije bih samo da ja znam kako mi je, osetim nekada potrebu da ljudi realno ne pricaju o realnost do taj stepen do koji bi trebalo biti, pa depresivni ljudi i samoubojstvo su tako konstantne i ceste. Hvala ti, i da, kad otvoris oci, realno, shvatis da ima toliko puno boljeg na cega se mozes fokusirati , jel. Jos jednom , hvala iz srca na ovom divnom komentaru! <3
